EA Performance and Elden’s Autobahn (together, “we”, “us” or “our”) respect your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, hold, use and disclose personal information when you visit eaperformance.com.au, buy performance parts, request a quote or booking, contact our workshop, subscribe to updates or otherwise deal with us.

1. Personal information we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

  • your name, billing and delivery address, email address and phone number;
  • account details and order history;
  • vehicle information such as make, model, year, engine, registration details and modification or fitment requirements;
  • quotes, enquiries, workshop bookings, support requests, returns and warranty information;
  • payment and transaction information. Card payments are processed by our payment service providers and we do not intentionally store complete card numbers;
  • marketing preferences, newsletter interactions and competition or promotion entries;
  • website usage information such as IP address, device and browser information, pages viewed, referring website, approximate location and cookie or advertising identifiers; and
  • any other information you choose to provide to us.

Where practical, you may deal with us anonymously or using a pseudonym. However, we generally need accurate contact, vehicle and delivery information to process an order, confirm fitment, provide workshop services or resolve a claim.

2. How we collect information

We usually collect personal information directly from you when you place an order, create an account, submit a form, phone or email us, visit the workshop, interact with our social media, or subscribe to marketing. We may also receive information from payment providers, couriers, suppliers, vehicle or parts databases, advertising and analytics providers, social platforms, and publicly available sources where lawful.

3. Why we collect and use information

We may use personal information to:

  • process payments, orders, delivery, returns, refunds and warranty claims;
  • check product and vehicle fitment and respond to technical questions;
  • provide quotes, bookings, workshop services and customer support;
  • maintain accounts, records, security and fraud prevention;
  • operate, analyse and improve our website, products, services and customer experience;
  • measure advertising, understand campaign performance and show relevant marketing;
  • send service messages and, where permitted, promotional communications;
  • comply with tax, accounting, consumer, safety and other legal obligations; and
  • establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

We do not currently arrange for a computer program to make decisions using personal information that could reasonably be expected to significantly affect a person’s rights or interests without appropriate human involvement.

4. Cookies, analytics and advertising

Our site uses essential cookies for functions such as shopping carts, checkout, account login, security and preferences. We may also use analytics and advertising technologies, including Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google services and Meta technologies, to understand website use, measure campaigns and improve advertising relevance.

These providers may collect device, browser, IP address, page-view, purchase-event and advertising identifier information. You can restrict cookies through your browser and can use the privacy or advertising controls offered by Google and Meta. Blocking essential cookies may prevent parts of the shop or checkout from working correctly.

5. Direct marketing

We may send you offers, product news or workshop updates where you have consented or where otherwise permitted by law. You can unsubscribe using the link in an email or contact us at any time. Service communications about an order, booking, safety issue or account are not marketing messages.

6. When we disclose information

We may disclose relevant personal information to:

  • payment processors, banks and fraud-prevention providers;
  • couriers, freight companies, installers, manufacturers and suppliers;
  • website hosting, ecommerce, cloud, email, CRM, analytics, advertising and IT support providers;
  • professional advisers, insurers, regulators, law-enforcement bodies or courts where required or permitted by law; and
  • a purchaser or adviser involved in a proposed sale, restructure or transfer of our business, subject to appropriate confidentiality arrangements.

We do not sell customer contact lists.

7. Overseas disclosure

Some of our service providers, technology platforms, manufacturers and suppliers operate or store data outside Australia. Their locations may change and can include the United States, the United Kingdom, the European Union and countries where relevant suppliers or cloud infrastructure operate. Where the Australian Privacy Principles apply, we take reasonable steps appropriate to the circumstances to protect personal information disclosed overseas.

8. Storage, security and retention

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, so please contact us promptly if you believe your account or information has been compromised.

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above and to meet legal, accounting, warranty, fraud-prevention and dispute-resolution requirements. We then take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it where appropriate.

9. Access and correction

You may request access to personal information we hold about you or ask us to correct inaccurate, out-of-date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading information. We may need to verify your identity. In limited circumstances permitted by law we may refuse access, but we will explain the reason and available complaint options where required.

11. Third-party links

Our website may link to manufacturer, supplier, payment, social-media or other third-party sites. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and we are not responsible for their content or handling of personal information.

We may update this policy when our practices, technology or legal obligations change. The current version will be published on this page with its effective date.
