About Ford

Ford is renowned for its sportscar exploits, both in Australia and abroad. It is a part of the famous duopoly in Australia’s Supercars Championship, having competed against Holden in the category for decades. They are also well known for their exploits at the Le Mans 24 Hours. The GT40 was originally produced to win long-distance sports car races against Ferrari (who won at Le Mans six times in a row from 1960 to 1965).

Ford/Shelby chassis #P-1075, which won in 1968 and 1969, is the first car in Le Mans history to win the race more than once, using the same chassis. Using an American Ford V-8 engine, originally a 4.7-litre, it was later enlarged to the 4.9-litre engine, with custom designed alloy Gurney–Weslake cylinder heads.

  Shirley (the co-owner) has actually been a patient of mine for years. I finally started taking my car to her last year and now my husband takes his there too. They are a beautiful local family business with husband, wife, son and daughter in law all working there. Exceptional service, knowledgeable, very reasonably priced and honest. They came to my work, picked my car up, performed the service, washed it and brought it back to me all for a fraction of what the dealer wanted to charge me.
