RacingLine VWR I 11P1GT High-Flow Air Filter is the direct-fit reusable panel filter developed for the Volkswagen Polo GTI 6C 1.8 TSI, SEAT Ibiza Cupra 6J 1.8 TSI and Audi S1 8X 2.0 TFSI applications shown in the Vehicle Fitment tab. It replaces the restrictive factory paper element while retaining the original airbox, ducting and heat shielding.

The filter is hand-made in the UK using RacingLine’s triple-layer Trifoam construction. Three grades of open-cell polyurethane foam combine filtration, dust-loading capacity and reduced intake restriction. A stainless-steel open mesh supports the filter media, while a poured polyurethane moulded seal is shaped to sit securely in the standard airbox and help prevent unfiltered air bypass.

Reducing the restriction of the original paper panel allows the turbocharged engine to draw air more freely. RacingLine describes improved airflow, mid-range response and efficiency potential without replacing the complete intake system. Results vary with engine condition, software, fuel and supporting hardware, so this filter should be treated as a carefully engineered airflow and serviceability upgrade rather than a guaranteed power figure.

Verified applications: RacingLine confirms this filter for the Polo GTI 6C 1.8 TSI, Ibiza Cupra 6J 1.8 TSI and Audi S1 2.0 TFSI. The Vehicle Fitment tab reconciles RacingLine’s catalogue shorthand to the manufacturers’ actual engine-production periods: Polo GTI 1.8 TSI from 2014-2017, Ibiza Cupra 1.8 TSI from 2015-2017, and Audi S1 from 2014-2018. The Audi row covers both the three-door S1 and five-door S1 Sportback because the official application is stated for the S1 generally and both use the confirmed 2.0 TFSI quattro powertrain and airbox.

Important application limit: this is not a generic filter for every Polo, Ibiza or Audi A1 engine. It is not the earlier 1.4 TSI Twincharger filter, and it does not extend into the later Polo GTI AW or fifth-generation Ibiza. Confirm the model generation, engine and existing filter shape before ordering, particularly on imported or engine-swapped vehicles.

Maintenance: inspect the filter at least every 12 months and clean/re-oil it according to RacingLine’s filter-care guidance, or more frequently in dusty conditions. Use only the RacingLine VWR12 0000 filter cleaner and oil kit so the three foam layers retain their intended filtration and airflow characteristics. Do not over-oil the element.

Installation: remove loose debris from the airbox, seat the moulded seal evenly around the housing and make sure the lid closes without pinching the filter. Recheck all intake clips and hoses before starting the engine.
