£400.40

RacingLine Stage 2 rear rotor pair for vehicles factory-equipped with 310 x 22 mm ventilated rear brakes, featuring high-carbon castings, directional triple grooves and a black Cerakote finish.

Description

RacingLine VWR B 682000 Stage 2 Rear Brake Rotor Set is the direct-replacement rear-disc upgrade for compatible Volkswagen Group vehicles fitted from the factory with the 310 mm x 22 mm ventilated performance rear brake package. Supplied as a matched axle pair, the Stage 2 set keeps the original one-piece rotor architecture while adding RacingLine’s high-carbon casting, directional triple-groove face and durable black Cerakote protection.

The three shallow grooves continually clean and deglaze the pad surface, helping maintain a consistent friction layer and giving the driver a clear visual wear indicator without the crack-prone stress concentrations associated with heavily drilled road discs. RacingLine’s high-carbon iron specification improves thermal stability under repeated braking, while the internal vented construction moves heat away from the pad and caliper more effectively than a solid rear rotor.

The centre bell and outer edge receive a black Cerakote finish to protect the non-friction areas from corrosion and preserve a tidy appearance behind open-spoke wheels. The coating naturally clears from the swept braking surface during bedding-in while remaining on the hat and edges. Because the Stage 2 disc retains the factory 310 x 22 mm dimensions, it works with the original compatible caliper, carrier and parking-brake system and is a straightforward service replacement where the larger OE rear brakes are already present.

  • Matched left-and-right rear axle set
  • 310 mm diameter x 22 mm ventilated one-piece rotors
  • High-carbon cast-iron construction for thermal stability
  • Directional triple-groove faces help refresh the pad surface
  • Black Cerakote centre and outer-edge corrosion protection
  • Direct replacement for factory 310 x 22 mm ventilated rear discs
  • Exact RacingLine part number: VWR B 682000 / VWR682000

Fitment is determined by the rear brake hardware, not the model badge alone. These rotors directly replace the factory 310 mm x 22 mm ventilated rear discs. Vehicles supplied with the smaller 300 mm x 12 mm solid rear rotor require the complete genuine larger-caliper conversion before either disc set can be used. Check the original rotor dimensions, brake PR code and caliper specification before ordering.

Driving benefit: this is the sensible fast-road choice for an owner who wants more consistent braking response, improved heat management and a cleaner long-term appearance without changing the factory rear-brake geometry. Pair the rotors with quality road or RacingLine RP700 pads appropriate to the vehicle and use fresh high-temperature brake fluid if the car will see demanding mountain-road or track use.

Installation: braking components are safety-critical. Professional installation is recommended. Inspect the rear calipers, carriers, hubs and wheel bearings; clean the hub faces; verify runout; torque all fasteners to the vehicle manufacturer’s specification; and complete the correct bedding-in procedure. Replace pads that are worn unevenly, contaminated or incompatible with the new rotor surface.

Important fitment notes

The vehicle selector is intentionally kept simple. Please check the relevant product-specific condition below and provide the vehicle VIN at checkout so EA Performance can verify the application before ordering.
